Overview of the Project: Reconditioning a new building complete with installation of electrics and machine relocation.
Approx. Value: £1,000,000
Vogal was approached by a UK carpet recycling facility, responsible for repurposing post-consumer and industrial carpets for re-use as their component materials, particularly polypropylene and calcium carbonate. With short-term plans to move into a new building, Vogal was approached to manage the project, in which old systems within the building were removed and the team fitted new transformers, extractor units, distribution boards and lighting.
While carpet decomposition to polypropylene pellets and calcium carbonate is a new process to the UK, Vogal worked closely with international suppliers to source the new machinery before installation. As part of the scope, the team installed compressed air pipework, chilled water pipework and domestic hot water pipework.
