Our team successfully relocated a Vacuum Pack Chiller System, on behalf of a manufacturer of speciality food ingredients. The main picture shows the system before the move as the sun rises on the day of the transfer. It was originally located outside, and we relocated it to a new site within the factory, which added an extra level of complexity to the project. The system is used to cool and pack the grown product providing food safety benefits and extending the shelf life of the product.
This complex ‘lift and shift’ operation involved:
- Running equipment prior to the move to ensure all working correctly.
- Draining fluids and gasses.
- Disconnecting and removing all electrical cables, control panels and cable tray containments.
- Stripping the plant and equipment for transportation.
- Loading all equipment onto transport and moving to the new site.
- Positioning all equipment as per a new Vogal Group provided layout.
- Fabricating, modifying and reinstating all pipework.
- Completing the mechanical installation..·
