From feasibility studies to turnkey M&E projects, including engineering design, CDM project management, industrial installation, maintenance labour support, and pre-demolition, we deliver results for our customers. Whether they are small and straightforward tasks, or large and complex business-ready M&E projects.

We can only do this work if we have great people working in our engineering teams and in our head office support team. We have vacancies available on both static sites and travelling between multiple sites throughout the UK. We also offer engineering apprenticeships which gives you the chance to train for a skilled role, gain a nationally recognised qualification and get paid while you learn.

Senior Mechanical Supervisor

Location

Based at our Peterborough Head Office. Overseeing work on customer sites across the UK, typically within 2 hours travel from Peterborough.

Job Details

We have an opening for a Senior Mechanical Supervisor to join us.

The job holder reports to a nominated Mechanical Contracts Manager.

The role involves supervising on-site industrial and commercial mechanical projects. This includes maintaining active knowledge of site progress, managing a site team, and upholding a healthy relationship with our customers. We want you to make sure our projects are carried out well, safely and efficiently. You must also pay attention to the cost effectiveness required to enable the business to continue to flourish.

Requirements

We are looking for experience in supervising engineers on customers sites delivering medium scale mechanical installation projects. Our requirements include:

  • Completion of a recognised apprenticeship supported by the relevant nationally recognised qualifications (e.g. C&G or EAL approved apprenticeship).
  • Hold NVQ Level 3 or have relevant experience.
  • Proficient with mechanical systems.
  • Experience in supervising engineers on industrial and commercial sites.
  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace.
  • Competent IT skills.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Competent knowledge of mechanical systems, standards, and UK regulations.
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK.

Mechanical Engineering Apprentice

Location

We are recruiting mechanical engineering apprentices.

If you are practical and enjoy solving a challenge, then a career in engineering could be perfect for you. We are developing engineers to help improve our customers manufacturing facilities.

You will have excellent long term employment prospects and gain industry recognised qualifications. The work involves completing installations, fitting, assembly, and welding in the commercial and industrial sectors.

Apprentices will undertake a recognised apprenticeship supported by the relevant nationally recognised qualifications (i.e. C&G or EAL approved apprenticeship to include an appropriate NVQ at Level 3). Further vocational qualifications will be required, e.g. weld codes.

Requirements

We are looking for apprenticeship candidates with potential. Our requirements include:

  • It is important that you are a self-starter who is able to manage your own time and work independently, as well as in a team, in a physically demanding environment.
  • You must have a keen interest in learning an engineering trade.
  • Minimum of 3 GCSEs Grade 4 (Grade C) in Mathematics, English Language & 1 Science or Engineering subject. Other equivalent qualifications may be considered.
  • Functional Skills Level 2 will also be considered as equivalent to GCSE Grade 4 (Grade C). Other equivalent qualifications may be considered.
  • You must have a driving license.
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK.
