Vogal Group are business partners with the Greater Peterborough UTC. They are an education facility providing STEM specialist subjects to provide students with an outstanding technical education and the technical skills and practical work experience they need to get a head start in their careers. The GPUTC Business Partner scheme works with local and national companies within the STEM industry to help them support students with their career aspirations.

We are involved because we want to promote M&E engineering apprenticeships. We want to identify individuals at 17 onwards who are keen to take up an engineering apprenticeship as opposed to further education. We are already talking to candidates for our 2025 intake.

We have a long tradition of providing engineering apprenticeships and many current engineers started their careers with a Vogal Group apprenticeship. Our apprenticeships provide the opportunity to train for a skilled role, gain a nationally recognised qualification and get paid whilst learning.

Vogal have been providing mechanical and electrical (M&E) services across several sectors for over 40 years. We have an excellent track record for delivering projects that provide real-world benefits, adding value to our customers operations, whilst reducing their operational risk. To do this we need a well-trained, experienced and motivated workforce. Our apprenticeships help us to grow our team.

Our Commercial Manager, Trevor King, recently attended a GPUTC Business Partner Day and really enjoyed talking with students about engineering apprenticeships as an option for their next stage.
