CDM M&E Project
10 January 2025
The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015, or CDM 2015, are designed to cover health, safety and welfare. They apply to M&E projects to manage potential risks from the start to the completion of a project.
We fully understand our role in ensuring the success and safety of your M&E project under CDM 2015. This includes helping you to understand your responsibilities to planning, managing, and monitoring the work. The Contract Manager and on-site CDM Project Manager roles are absolutely essential in ensuring we foster a culture of health and safety on a M&E project to safeguard the well-being of all individuals involved in the project.
Vogal Group have been delivering a pre-demolition CDM project in the chemical sector. We have delivered two phases, preparing an industrial facility for demolition. We have addressed various equipment, piping, utilities, electrical, instrumentation, vessels, infrastructure and containers (e.g. tanks) directly or indirectly associated with a process area or plant site. It is an essential step to ensure the subsequent demolition runs smoothly and safely with no detrimental environmental impacts.
Our Contract Manager, working with the on-site Pre-demolition CDM Project Manager, have ensured all our personnel went home safely each day and that we remained fully CDM compliant. We pride ourselves on delivering projects on time, within budget and of course safely.
