Max Jarvis – Mechanical Apprentice
Hello I’m Max
I went to Casterton College Rutland secondary school. I want to be a mechanical engineer because mechanics is something that fascinates me. I wanted an apprenticeship that would give me the opportunity to help with challenging mechanical project work. This led me to Vogal Group where by brother is enjoying his electrical engineering apprenticeship
I was attracted by the training provided and the fact I would have guidance from my supervisors whilst undergoing the apprenticeship. The teams I work with are really helpful and I get on with them. I’ve not met anyone who’s been a problem. The work is interesting and challenging. You've got to be practical. I get to travel a bit, and this allows me to gain experience from different sites and sectors. One of the things that made an apprenticeship attractive to me was getting all your qualifications paid for and you getting a salary while you are learning. Outside of work I like to go to car shows and spend time with his family.
