Jed Boffin – Electrical Apprentice

Jed Boffin – Electrical Apprentice

My name is Jed. I am a first-year electrical apprentice and enjoy working in different locations and environments, being able to problem solve and seeing results of my work at the end of a job. You need to be committed to be an electrician. You've got to put the hours in to learn the trade. You've also got to try and get better at what you do every day.

You've got to have the right mindset to overcome challenges. When you're a new apprentice, it can be intimidating but the team at Vogal Group have all been supportive and helped me.

Getting all my work together for my college portfolio is really important. This involves writing a summary of what I’ve done, how I did it and what materials I’ve used. I also have to pass tests.
